About the Author
Mike Mitchell Mike has taught religion and business courses for over 20 years. He is an author of several books and magazine articles. After graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Mike enjoyed a successful career as a pilot, an international affairs specialist, and International Logistics officer for the U.S. Air Force. In addition to a B.S. degree in International Affairs, he holds a Master of Science in Systems Management from USC, a Master of Arts in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School and is presently a PhD candidate with the International School of Management, Paris, France. Past responsibilities include Instructor Pilot, Assistant Executive Officer to the Chief of the Air Force Reserve at the Pentagon, and diplomatic assignments in Argentina, Central America, and Spain. He has led commercial organizations as a Regional Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and as de-facto President. He has led large government and commercial organizations and managed budgets from $2 million to $75 million to $2.4 billion. Mike co-founded INTERACTIVE SCHOOL OF LEARNING in 2006.

El problema es que Sergio no cuenta con que Elena Mariani, la mujer que ha amado toda la vida, la que nunca le dedicó la más mínima atención, la que lo miraba con recelo cuando estaba lleno de grasa; por fin ha descubierto su existencia. Excelente Novela!!! La Caída del Soltero de la Escritora Susana Oro!!
Una novela maravillosa con un tema para reflexionar, su historia, la de Sergio Otamendi y Elena Mariani es impresionante, tierna, dulce cargada de sentimientos y mucho amor. Él debe luchar con sus miedos e inseguridades de ser un hijo de crianza recogido por Mario un ser encantador para darle una familia. Ella una persona insegura con su autoestima muy baja y donde su vida dará un giro de 180° cuando descubre su verdadera identidad. Sergio siempre amó a Elena pero ocultó sus sentimientos por muchos años. Pero los sentimientos un día salen a la luz y deberán luchar los dos para afrontar lo que cada uno siente. Una novela cargada de emotividad, de mucho amor y de un amor que sienten y al que le deberán dar el lugar que sus sentimientos merecen, ser prioridad en la vida de cada uno.
La autora aborda un tema complicado y lo hace a través de su escritura con excelencia y con muchos sentimientos. Disfruté leyendo este libro y me permitió sentir diversos sensaciones ya que su autora tiene esa magia de hacernos vivir distintos momentos y meter al lector en la historia como si fuera uno más de sus personajes!!!

Fun read

Just finished reading this sci fi (reminiscent of the Flash Gordon era) and thoroughly enjoyed it. It had just enough excitement, suspense and intrigue to keep me turning the pages to see what happens next. Little bit of a cliff hanger at the end so looking forward to the next installment.

The Pirates of Neptune by Michael Bazzo is a fantastic read for readers of all ages! This Pirates of the Carribbean meets Lost in Space mystery pulp fiction includes all of the best parts of a pirates tale with all the best parts of being stranded in space. The Sargasso, a region of space between Neptune and Uranus is the perfect Bermuda's triangle in space - capturing nearby vessels and creating a deserted island for space travelers unlike any other ever imagined! Carl Landry must save the crew of his ship while figuring out who to trust, how to save the girl, and when to strike at the villainous V-man! Can he trust his Captain's instructions or is the Captain betraying him and the rest of his crew? And who will get away with the treasure at the end? A great read and highly recommended!

The Pirates of Neptune is a perfect book for teens and young adults

This book had me hooked from the first paragraph. I couldn't put it down! Every chapter left me wanting more and the last page made me crave another book. The Pirates of Neptune is a perfect book for teens and young adults. Its very easy to read and hard to put down. The characters are so deep and complex its almost like I knew them by the time I was done reading. The way the author wrote the book really bonds you with the good characters and gives you a real dislike for the evil ones. I felt happy for the good guys when things went their way and satisfied when things didn't go well for the bad guys. Overall, this book was amazing. I hardly ever reread books but with out a doubt Ill be rereading this again and again.

Great highschool story. No actual dragons. :-)

First off, I didn’t read very far into the description so, at first, I assumed it was a highschool dragon fantasy. Dragon is not a fantasy. Nope, but it is a great read.

Silver’s an overachiever facing the toughest obstacle she’s ever had to face, a class she has little to no chance of acing. It wouldn’t be a problem if she hadn’t spent her entire highschool career working towards one elaborate plan to build a perfect resume for a very exclusive university.

I most liked that the story was plausible. Silver’s decisions, their consequences, and the ultimate outcome are all very well thought out and realistic. Apart from that, there’s a delightful building of tension and suspense. The story starts off with quite a teaser, and then it backtracks to the weeks leading up to that day and slowly builds back up to that point.

The characters are well built and engaging. I remember kids like the one’s in the story from back when I was in highschool, and, though the main cast is limited to just a few people, I thought there was a good variety in the personalities represented. As for Mr. Bailey, the teacher, he was really likeable, which I thought was funny, as Silver seems to find him intimidating.

The book itself is strong from a quality standpoint. I didn’t notice any editing, grammar or other errors or rough edges, and I look for those. The pace is smooth and steady, enjoyable. The language used is perfect for this sort of story, smart, but easy to read, and the plot is solid and has a point.

Overall, I thought this was a great book. I’d recommend it to folks who love a good YA highschool read with a bit of suspense and realism. No actual dragons or fantasy elements, just some really good storytelling.

Reminiscent of Nancy Drew/Tom Swift Adventure Books

I have been meaning to write a review on the author's 1st book, "Uncovered", for a long time but after reading her 2nd book, "Dragon", it became a must to review both. The author's use of an exceptional descriptive style brings you right smack into the stories. I am reminded of my days of reading and enjoying Tom Swift adventure books. The author's 2 books are geared to young women, (as Nancy Drew books of old were), but can be read by anyone who enjoys the tension of an adventure complemented by descriptive prose. In short, "Uncovered" takes you through the "dark woods" metaphor of growing up, and "Dragon" gives a close-up of the fears of modern high school students reflected in temptations and crime. Also, I have had a chance to peruse the author's 3rd book "Writing on the Walls", and if you enjoy whimsy and gentle musings, the book is for you.

Not about dragons

This book isn't about dragons. They play a part in it ( not in the way you're thinking though), but it isn't about them. I liked this book because it shows you that even when you think you really want something and do a lot of work and planning to make sure you get it, sometimes it turns out to be not as good as you thought. It's kind of like getting somebody's attenion and then realising that they have the personality of a sneaker. Also its great how the ending is happy although it isn't what you expect. Its so easy to connect with Silver (the protagonist ) because sometimes you really want to do things perfectly but at the end of the day its important to understand that it's okay if you're not perfect and that you should be happy with what you have.
