Onyx Webb is a complex multi-genre mash-up that combines elements of supernatural suspense, crime, horror, romance, and more. The Onyx Webb series follows the unusual life of Onyx Webb along with a central group of characters in various locations and times.
The billionaire Mulvaney family, piano prodigy Juniper Cole and her brother Quinn, paranormal show hosts Cryer and Fudge, and a few others make up the core of the series. Written like a book version of your favorite tv series (think: supernatural soap opera like American Horror Story) each character’s story moves forward with most every episode. It may appear that the characters are entirely unrelated and yet episode by episode, the connections will become clearer. Like being an inch away from a spider web, with each book, the web will move further and further away revealing the full story of every character and most importantly, the stunning conclusion for Onyx Webb herself.

Book 4 of simply the best serial novel I have ever read
By James Tepper
I haven't been so hooked on a serial novel since Stephen King's THE GREEN MILE. I devoured OW:BOOK 4:EPISODES 10, 11& 12 in three large bites. Authors Waltz and Fenton have taken taken the classic ghost story and morphed it it into something much larger and more complex. I'll assume that since you're reading a review of something subtitled Book 4:Episodes 10-12, it will come as no shock (or spoiler) to hear that the eponymous Onyx Webb, main character of this long serial novel, is now dead and a ghost. But not any kind of ghost that you have ever read about. And Onyx is not the only ghost running around these pages. There are at least 3 or 4 others (that we are aware of so far).
As with BOOK 3, much of BOOK 4 concerns Declan and Onyx. Declan is one tough SOB. Bruce is basically MIA for the entire Book. Koda and Robyn are, I think, being set up as part of the glue that I suspect is going to end up integrating past and present and Onyx with Quinn and Juniper Cole and Wyatt Scragger plus the other paranormal stuff that is now starting to happen. As with the rest of the novel's earlier parts (Books 1-3), the writing is maximally effective and the rapid pacing, addictive. If OW were a movie I would rave about the editing, because sequential chapters almost always switch scene and characters, leaving one with dozens of mini-cliffhangers that are screaming for resolution that is, alas, several pages down the road. Until you run out of pages. What a ride!
I literally could not flick the pages fast enough (I read on an iPad so I have to actually turn the pages with a finger flick almost as if I were reading a physical book). And then I was done with Episode 12! Damn!
Very very highly recommended.

disclaimer: The authors sent me an e-copy for free, in part because I was nearly distraught when I found out that I had missed the release of Book 3 by a month or so. Thanks Andrea and Richard!

Have you been following the Onyx Webb story? Have you figured out just how connected Onyx Webb is to a series of characters over a vast time period that spreads out over decades? How about the guy whose murdering girls, think you have him pinned down? The fourth installment of Onyx Webb gives us the biggest surprises yet.
It is getting continuously harder to review the Onyx Webb series. I am constantly at war with myself on how to go about these reviews. If you’ve been a reader of my reviews for any amount of time you will see that I rarely give out five star reviews. You’ll also see that I’ve given the earlier three installments of Onyx Webb five stars and raved that each one is better than the previous. I am here to tell you that book four is no exception.
I can’t tell you much without giving you major spoilers. I can tell you that with every book (and this one is no exception) that Andrea Waltz and Richard Fenton out do themselves. Imagine if you will, the Claritin commercial where everything is fuzzy until you take a pill. The world suddenly becomes clearer as if a plastic film was removed from your vision. As time goes on, everything is slightly blurry again. Your pill, the miracle to clearer vision, is the next book in this series.
There was one spot in particular where I read a passage and screamed out loud, (pardon my French) HOLY S***! Something became so clear that I was kind of miffed at myself that I didn’t catch on to it sooner. This just goes to show you the ingenious and hard work that Waltz and Fenton put into their work. I am so beyond impressed with what they are accomplishing.
I have book five in my possession but I’m forcing myself to take time to read it…I may need to brush up on the dictionary so I have a better vocabulary to review the next book. I love being on the OW100 team – thank you Waltz and Fenton for the books in exchange for my honest review.

Onyx's web keeps on growing...and growing...

Onyx's web is getting bigger
In this 4th installment of the Onyx Webb series, authors Fenton and Waltz deliver the most exciting and emotional series of episodes to date. And if I said that about another installment, scratch that. Because this one takes the cake.
The web is getting tighter, and more and more small details are provided, painting a clearer picture of how exactly Onyx Webb is connected to so many people through so many decades. In this set of episodes, the pivotal characters' sagas are continuing, while some previously introduced characters made return visits after being absent for several episodes. As I've stated before, one of my favorite aspects of this series how the authors keep going back to each character. While there is a set of central characters, their stories aren't any more important than the characters who remain quietly in the background. Each and every one of them has a story to tell, and each and every one has some sort of connection to the namesake of this series, Ms. Onyx Webb.
The episodes contained in this installment have been the most emotional yet. While most of the stories thus far have had a bit of a creep factor, the authors really laid it on thick this time around by adding in even more ghosts and the subsequent goosebumps that go along with hauntings. Add to that, there was plenty of heartbreak with the reunion involving someone from Onyx's past. One thing I find interesting, and something I hope is answered in future installments, is what differentiates the types of ghosts in this series; some of them are corporeal and essentially still appearing human, while others are the spirits and poltergeists that one thinks of when they hear "ghost". It's certainly an interesting element and one I look forward to in the episodes to come.
Bottom line -- this series has quickly grown to become one of my favorites. It's weird, it's spooky, it's creepy and exciting and above all, it's so dang interesting. I honestly don't even have enough positive words to give the authors the credit they deserve for coming up with a story that is truly one of the most unique and entertaining series I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something weird, spooky, heartbreaking, exciting...really, just anyone who likes good stories. I'm hooked and I can't wait to see what comes next in the world of Onyx Webb.
**Many thanks to the authors for providing a copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
