Promesas y Sacrificios

Setenta años después, la inspectora Sadie Sparrow de visita en la casa de su abuelo, conoce la historia, le intriga y decide investigar por su cuenta. La necesidad de saber la lleva a entrevistarse con Alice, una de las hermanas del desaparecido ya octogenaria y famosa escritora de novelas policíacas. Los recuerdos reprimidos durante décadas hacen brecha, las Edevane supervivientes se sienten culpables de la desaparición, creen haber sido la causa de tan funesto suceso pero nada es como ellas se lo imaginan. Confieso que las primeras páginas me resultaron tediosas con tanta descripción pero una vez que pasan ya la historia te mantiene en vilo hasta el final. He leído varios de la autora y este es el que más me ha gustado, sus historias todas son magníficas pero a veces abusa de la descripción . Hay que situarse en el lugar y los personajes pero sin exceso. Muy recomendable este libro posee todo lo que necesita para atrapar al lector hasta el final
