The concept of a book of David Bowie quotes is a great idea, but this collection is lazy

I don't know how this got a four star review...I am only a few pages into it and wished I'd used the money on coffee instead. The concept of a book of David Bowie quotes is a great idea, but this collection is lazy. I am a huge fan of Bowie, but some of the contents here are far from being publish worthy... "I painted a dead tulip in Bermuda." That is one entry. Was the author desperate for filler? Many of these quotes have no context. Sure, Bowie was an artist and we are to interpret his words art...but some this is merely fodder and Bowie himself would likely frown knowing someone passed off these quotes as good reading. If you want a Bowie book, read The Complete David Bowie by Nicholas Pegg or Loving The Alien by Christopher Sandford. They cost more but you'll know where the money went.
