Rules and Dreams, ARC 2, continues the story of Atlas and his crew, fighting and surviving the virtual world created by the Doctor:
Connecting Floors
Once we reached the middle of town, we looked to where everyone had their attention focused. In the center of the square, there was a blue shimmering portal with two blue glowing obelisks flanking either side.
Nightmare
My vision was hazy as I looked about. Now where the hell am I? Fog had enveloped the area. There was a thunderous bang that resounded throughout the area, and suddenly, a bolt of lightning crackled to my left.
Knowledge
"If you want to learn more about this world, there's an old library in the northwestern part of floor two's labyrinth. I encourage you to go there." Following his last words, the fog lifted and the silhouette disappeared.
The Librarian "Hello. It has been quite some time since I have seen a visitor. My name is Dexter. . . "
The Book with Some Information
I looked at everyone individually, and then spoke. "This book tells us everything about this world up to the thirty-seventh floor," I announced.
I See an Angel!
"Look o--Gah!" I glanced to my left to see Elijah slam into the side of a large boulder. His body slid down, limp.
It's Me Gold, Ye Can't Have it!
"Leprechauns aren't cute at all."
The Somewhat Selfish Brother
"I don't like it. I'm her older brother. I should be the one doing this dangerous stuff. Not only that, but I want to be the hero."
A New Home
I opened the menu, which asked if I wanted to purchase the building for 300,000 gold. . . . There was a surge of light, and lines spread out from the mansion, creating a wide grid designating what we now owned.
Of All the People in the World
"Watch where you're going, idiot!" A terse voice cried out.
"Sorry, I was-- Huh? Chelsea?"
Chelsea!
"Is there a problem?" Chelsea had gotten back from the other room. Chelsea. I turned to look at her with disdain.
"You ordered the remodeling, didn't you?" My voice was hoarse.
"Um. Yeah? I'm not going to live here without it looking nice." Who said you could live here?

About the Author
A Lutheran North High School soon-to-be graduate with plans to enter the University of Texas at Austin, Carson was not interested in becoming an author.
As with any high school student, he flipped and flopped around like a fish out of water trying to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. He would say crazy things like, "I want to be in the Air Force. I want to be a Youtuber. I want to be a video editor. I want to be an animator." Fortunately, after experiencing the wonderful video game Persona 4 Golden, Carson knew exactly what he wanted to do: "I want to be a writer. I want to be able to create something that makes the reader feel all kinds of emotions. I want to be able to write something that makes people say, "I want more," or, "Write more about this person," "Write more about this world." That's what I want to do."

Good read and a nice follow up on the last book.
By Amazon Customer
The second book of this series was a good read and the author slowed the pacing and made some characters be less OP which leveled out the story fairly well. Despite not having much character development take place in it, I felt that the author is setting up for something good and I am looking forward to the next installment.
